I have no idea how Pat does it but every year Hedonistic Enthusiasm rolls around, the weather gods decide to smile down upon DCTC and bless everyone with sunshine. While there were a few track issues, (not limited to a Deepwater Horizon-size oil spill on the back straight) riders seemed to adapt to the alternative track layout and didn't seem to affect that day what so ever.
It's always a treat to shoot Pat's event because I get to watch riders improve throughout the day. Lots of attention from instructors and feedback from the corner workers help problems get addressed right away, and I watched the confidence level of a few stiff-armed newbs increase to the point where they were smiling under their helmets by lunch time.
Thanks to Pat for having me down to cover the day, all the workers for keeping everyone in line, and to all the new riders who decided to come out and improve their skills.
Enjoy the photos, and thanks again! |
